ABOUT ME

Every film project begins with a conversation. It could be over coffee on a Madrid terrace, a beer after a film festival, or a Zoom call because we’re hundreds of kilometers apart. But my job is always the same: to turn those words into images. At the same time, my work is never the same, because it’s about discovering the exact image that perfectly captures each story.

BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Aachen, Germany, in 1984, and my family relocated to Valencia when I was just two years old. After completing high school, I pursued a degree in sociology, which allowed me to engage with social issues and public policy development. However, it wasn't long before I discovered my true calling in filmmaking—a medium where I could channel my creative energy into meaningful visual narratives.

In 2016, I moved to Madrid to study Cinematography at ECAM, where I graduated. Since then, I’ve worked on various film projects in both fiction and documentary, including feature films, short films, and series. What I enjoy most is getting involved in personal projects that tell impactful stories, where cinematography adds that special touch.

I've also worked extensively in advertising, creating campaigns for brands like Renault, El Corte Inglés, Epson, and Banco Santander. Occasionally, I've blended advertising and documentary formats, as seen in the project 'This is My Truth' about photographer Isabel Muñoz.

A portion of my work has taken me to Germany (Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart), where I maintain strong connections and close friendships. I’m fluent in both German and English, which has facilitated collaboration with international teams.

I balance my work as a Director of Photography with teaching Camera and Lighting at TAI University, where I mentor students in both the Undergraduate and Master’s programs in Cinematography.
